We are the Data Fiduciary for the personal data described below, under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) and the rules made under it. This notice explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and what you can ask us to do.

We do not collect your PAN, Aadhaar, bank account number, card number, UPI PIN or any other payment credential. Payments are handled entirely by our payment gateway, Razorpay; we only receive confirmation that a payment succeeded or failed.

3. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the service providers we need to run this business:

Some of these providers store data on servers outside India. Where that happens, transfers are made in accordance with the DPDP Act and any restrictions notified by the Central Government.
4. Cookies and tracking
- Necessary — making pages work, keeping your checkout session and Reader Portal login. These cannot be switched off without breaking the site.
- Advertising and measurement — the Meta Pixel and Conversions API, and Microsoft Clarity. These use your consent.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. Blocking advertising cookies does not affect your ability to buy or read.
5. How long we keep it
- Free chapter requests — while you remain on our mailing list, and for up to 3 years after your last interaction with us
- Purchase and tax records — 8 years, as required under Indian tax law
- Reader Portal account — for as long as you have access to your books, unless you ask us to delete it
- Postal addresses — until the book has been delivered, and up to 1 year afterwards for support
When a retention period ends, we delete the data or remove anything that identifies you.
6. Your rights
Under the DPDP Act you may:
- Ask what we hold about you and how it has been used
- Ask us to correct anything inaccurate, incomplete or out of date
- Ask us to erase your personal data, where we are not required by law to keep it
- Withdraw your consent at any time — as easily as you gave it
- Nominate another person to exercise these rights if you die or become incapacitated
- Complain to us, and afterwards to the Data Protection Board of India
To do any of these, email contact@businesssaarathi.com. We will respond within 30 days. To stop receiving emails, use the unsubscribe link in any email from us.
7. Children
This website is intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data of children, and we do not use children's data for advertising or behavioural monitoring. If you believe a child has given us personal data, write to us and we will delete it.
8. Keeping your data safe
We use reasonable security safeguards to protect personal data against loss and unauthorised access, including encrypted connections and access limited to people who need it. If a breach occurs that affects you, we will inform you and the Data Protection Board as the law requires.
